The City of Lubbock will host a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. to launch Lubbock's annual Lemonade Day. The kick-off will take place at the YWCA on 6501 University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79413.

The event highlights preparations for Lemonade Day and is open to interested parents and students to attend and learn more about being involved in the May 2nd event. 

Lemonade Day Lubbock and First United Bank collaborate to bring Lubbock, Bank Loan Day! This is an exciting opportunity for children participating in Lemonade Day to secure a bank loan from First United Bank at their 4th & Frankford location. This event educates kids on how to obtain a small business loan for their lemonade stands.

During Bank Loan Day, children can create a business plan for their stand, engage with a loan officer, and apply for a small business loan of up to $40. Similar to traditional small business loans, applicants will need to pay a $1 processing fee and are expected to repay the borrowed amount by Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Additionally, the Lubbock Health Department will be on hand to issue health permits for those planning to serve hot food at their stands.

On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Lubbock Lemonade Day and Lowe's Home Improvement are thrilled to host Create Your Stand Day. Kids will have the chance to take pictures with Lemmy and enjoy a guided tour of the lumber section, learning how to pick out building supplies for their lemonade stands. Shopping lists and instructions for building a lemonade stand will also be provided for those interested in purchasing supplies for their stands. Kids will also get to take home a special item!

Lubbock Lemonade Day, in collaboration with United Supermarkets, is excited to host the annual Big Squeeze Event on Sunday, April 26th, from 2-4 PM at Market Street, located at 4425 19th Street (19th & Quaker).

Taking place the weekend prior to the main event, this gathering assists young entrepreneurs and their support teams, including family, mentors, and grandparents, in getting their lemonade stands up and running efficiently. Parents can register their children for Lemonade Day during the Big Squeeze, collect their t-shirts, and purchase supplies for their stands. Lemi the Lemonhead will be there to meet the kids and sign autographs.

Additionally, the Lubbock Health Department will be present to issue Health permits for those entrepreneurs planning to serve hot food. Stands offering menu items like hot dogs, hamburgers, or brisket wraps can obtain their permits at the event or by filling out the application available on the Lemonade Day website.

When Lemonade Day is over and you've submitted your business results, it will be time to celebrate your Lemonade Day success and hard work at a pool party! Your ticket to the pool party is a printed copy or screenshot of your submitted business results. You can bring a friend!
